He discovered network marketing in his early 30s during a business trip to Australia. That’s when he understood the idea behind this model: consumers tell their friends and family about products they have used and liked, and the recommendation spreads further—from person to person. In this way, a consumer base is formed, and financial results follow naturally as a consequence of this growth.
After returning to Korea, he joined a network marketing company as a sales agent. He advanced quickly and reached the highest rank during the period he worked there. However, he realized it was not a place where truly good products were sold at affordable prices.
He tried to find a company built on the principles he believed in—real quality, fair pricing, and respect for the consumer—but he couldn’t find one that met those standards. So he decided to create the company he was looking for himself. That idea became Atomy: if a fair model didn’t exist, he would build it.
